It just had to rain cats and dogs,
The day I decide to go to school.
Never been in a storm that huge.
Visibility was really low,
Tire traction was minimal,
And the rain drops felt like stones pelting onto my skin.
Yes it hurt even with the raincoat on.
Hey you drivers out there,
Will it kill you to turn on the headlights in a storm?
Oh wait.
I must excuse you for the fact,
That since you are stuck in your air-con comfort and all,
You are naturally oblivious to the plight of the motorcyclist.
Was late for lecture because I took some time to dry up.
Seems that,
The waterproofing qualities of my raincoat have diminished,
With each recent episode of torrential downpour.
But never mind.
I managed to copy half a lecture's worth of notes,
And zapped some Marx readings.
Had cheese prata with Jayne.
By the time I decide to go home,
It was 6pm.
So straight into peak-hour traffic I rode.
The whole ECP was in a jam.
I'm so goddamn tired now.
Fatigue from riding in a storm and then a jam.
Running a slight temperature too,
Cos I spent most of the day in damp clothes.
Very unpleasant.
I guess I'm done with my complaints.
The perfect relationship I had in the past,
Is nothing more than my one-sided love and obsession today.
The thought of tomorrow fills me with dread.
Yawn.
And I don't know when you'll be reading this,
But good luck for your papers.
Because you've been the sweetest thing these 2 months.
