"Be still, my heart."

I realized I haven't been putting in any real effort,
Into my last few blog entries.
So much so that I don't even want to read them myself.

But I feel a better less uptight tonight,
So I'll see what I can do.

Does anyone remember how it feels like to be in love,
When you're much younger?
Like say, in secondary school?
Except it wasn't exactly "love",
Because all you ever did or dare to do,
Was to gaze at the object of your affections from afar.
Usually someone older and unattainable.

I apologize for being such a loser during my salad days.
And also for the fact,
That nothing much has changed since then.

For some strange reason,
I am once again experiencing,
The heady effects of a teenage crush.
Except I'm not a teenager,
And I'm also 6 years older than her.

Ha.

Well,
I received news last week that Daphne (yes, that one),
Would be performing at West Mall on the 12th.

Okay, must go, since I'm freaking free anyway.

In the end,
Fy, my reluctant partner in crime,
Came down with an eye infection,
And I decided to give it a miss.

Just when I was still feeling a little sian,
About missing her performance,
I found out that she'll be performing again on Sunday,
At some park a stone's throw away from my place.
Of course, nobody else would go,
And although I knew I'll be damn paiseh I went anyway.

Alright,
She sure has a lot of fans,
And they are all little girls and hamsup-looking guys.
(Myself not included okay)

As expected, I was too paiseh to join the crowd mobbing her,
So I just stood a distance away,
Pretending that I wasn't interested.

But damn it,
I sure am.
