"Accepting this job was an honest mistake."

Have been working such long hours,
I don't even have enough time,
To finish last month's copy of GQ.

So obviously,
I didn't manage to find the time to blog as well.

Nothing new actually.
If there's such a thing as living hell,
I must be experiencing it right now.

I kept getting sent to other outlets all over Singapore,
Which are short-handed.
So far,
I've been to Tampines, Bedok, Toa Payoh,
And the worst by far, Jurong.

Why are they always short on manpower huh?
Because this job sucks,
So the staff turnover is pretty high?
Because they keep having "crazy sale" promotions,
That attract all the uncles and aunties in droves?

Imagine trying to pack the items neatly on the shelves,
While barbaric people surround you,
Yanking, pulling and jostling for the best bargains,
And at the same time,
Shouting in your ear,
"Eh got sai el-la or not ah?"
(They mean size L)

And the icing on the cake came,
When some sonofabitch scratched me,
With his dirty fingernails.
There was some blood,
And now I can't sleep at night,
Thinking that there's a chance,
I might have contracted some disease from him.

Of course I'm thinking about AIDS.
Who knows,
What that dirty old man does in his spare time.

Eh.
I'm seriously very worried lah.

Honestly speaking,
I don't mean to sound elitist or what,
(After all, I've nothing to be elitist about)
But it seems like within these 3 weeks,
I've met all the degenerates in Singapore.

Sigh.
Is this my destiny?

On a happier note,
Does anyone want to catch the Bravery on the 5th?
