"It's just a necessity."
I think I excel at worrying.
Especially worries of the needless kind.
So, a change in my working environment wasn't too bad.
The new in-charge is quite nice,
And she's also rather pleasing on the eyes as well.
Prior to this,
I've never actually met a single mother before,
But I've always had a lot of respect for single mums.
Must be pretty tough to bring up a kid on your own, yes?
And now that I've gotten to know a couple,
I'm even more in awe.
The other colleagues are pretty friendly,
But the bad thing is that the shop is like a freezer.
And that lousy mall is like a ghost town,
Which means that time passes very slowly,
Since hardly anyone walks in during a weekday.
Of course,
The upside is that it's very slack there.
I got drenched on my first 2 days of work,
And my helmet bag,
(Which I use as my everyday bag to carry stuff)
Got soaking wet as well.
So I thought the logical thing to do,
Would be to ditch the furry helmet bag,
And get myself a cheap and waterproof one for work.
The first thing that came to my mind,
Was one of those pseudo-retro PVC bags,
That they sell everywhere at Heeren and Far East.
Then I decided to do one of the bravest thing ever:
I wore my uniform to get the bag after work.
There were quite a few stares,
But I didn't give a damn.
Afterall, I was just gonna grab the bag and go.
The shitty thing,
Was that there wasn't any available parking lots,
So I just sat on my bike,
And waited in vain for 15 minutes,
Before I decided to take a risk.
When I returned 15 minutes later with my new bag,
I saw what I didn't want to see.
The whatdoyoucallhim issuing parking summons.
I walked over,
Feeling super sian,
Then I realized that he hasn't issued my bike the ticket yet,
So I quickly rode off,
And thanked my lucky stars.
Haven't felt this lucky in ages.
