Vesak Day was absolutely horrible.
What can be worse than a public holiday,
In the midst of the school holidays?

And everyone who went shopping today,
Had incredibly itchy fingers.

To top it all off,
I was blind and helpless the whole morning,
Without my specs.
I went to get help when she arrived after noon,
And a nice guy fixed the lenses back onto my frames.

Phew.
How nice it is to be able to see again.

I decided to make a spare pair,
Cos I don't want to be rendered helpless again.
And ended up dropping a triple hundred,
On my backup specs.

Well done!

She told a couple of her friends,
About the 17 upon 20 essay,
And all they could say was something along the lines of,
"It's just pure luck."
Not surprising,
Since the guy has been liking her for 8 years.
(Actually I also think it's just luck,
But that's only for me to say)

Ah what the hell.
Now I've an uphill task at hand,
And a whole lot to prove with the new assignment.

Fy popped by in the evening,
And we went shopping together.
Nobody bought anything though,
But I'm damn glad I bought nothing for once.
