"Playin' the numbers game."
I'm bored.
Here's how my license plate number has fared,
Since I got my bike.
First prize on 20 November 2002.
Second prize on 17 September 2003.
Consolation prize on 26 October 2003.
Too bad I've never bought 4-D in my life before.
I was watching the Community Shield match just now,
And I noticed something rather interesting.
By the way,
The match was dead boring.
I fell asleep during the first half,
And only recovered mildly when Alan Smith scored.
But I digress.
Manchester United lost anyway.
What I wanted to point out,
Was the amazing number of players,
Who were wearing Livestrong bands.
What started out,
As a fund-raising campaign for the Lance Armstrong foundation,
Has turned into a worldwide fashion fad.
Everyone,
From average Joes to politicians to celebrities,
Can be seen sporting a Livestrong band.
I'm not sure if it's available in Singapore,
But it's sold out everywhere else.
So I checked out eBay,
And sure enough,
The $1 bands are being sold for 5 to 10 times more.
I don't mind getting one myself,
But I'm not gonna pay rape prices,
When it's not going to benefit the LAF.
More numbers.
Happy 39th birthday to the nation.
By the way,
Does anyone work in a record store?
I'll pay good money for an Ashlee Simpson promo poster.
Really.
Trust me.
And oh,
I made a mistake.
I'm starting school on Wednesday,
Not Tuesday.
