"Wah, you are good, leh."

So it was time to go back to my favourite resort,
I mean, hospital,
For a blood test.

Being lazy and all,
I decided to take the train.
As usual, I woke up really late,
And was left scrambling for time,
While wondering what time the clinical lab closes.

Thankfully I managed to make it in time.
I can't believe the blood test costs 74 dollars loh.
Or maybe I'm just a suaku.
Testing the liver functions alone costs 50.
Sian.
I wonder how much it would be,
To see the prof on Wednesday.

So the uncle at the counter,
Was filing my particulars.
"Have you served your NS?"

That question never fails to make me cringe.
Because there is no good answer.

I thought a nurse would be drawing my blood,
But it was a lab technician.
Okay I am a suaku.
But this woman is really damn skillful man!
I could barely feel the needle going in.

"Wah, I could barely feel anything."

"Good, eh?"
She smirked.

Means my darling Nurse P isn't that skillful afterall.

And all the other doctors/nurses who,
Drew my blood/inserted the drip needle.

But it's okay.
I'll still volunteer if Nurse P wants some practice.

Decided to go wander around a bit after that,
Since I'm damn free and damn bored as well.
Walked through Suntec and finally ended up at RC.

Haven't been to RC ever since I stopped working.
Thought of getting my wallet polished,
Since the leather was starting to look dull,
With the scratches and all,
Despite my best attempts to keep it looking fresh.
Bumped into the girl who sold me the wallet,
Because she was transferred there from Taka.
Talked a bit,
And she commented that I'm so damn skinny now,
As though I was "punctured".

Now I am feeling very self-conscious.

Also managed to check out some watches,
From Vulcain and Maurice Lacroix.
After a prolonged hospital stay,
You can either think one of two ways:

Life is unpredictable,
And I can die any minute.
So might as well spend money,
To buy that special something you've always wanted.

Or:

Life is unpredictable,
And I can fall sick any minute.
So I must save all my money,
In case anything happens to me.

I don't know what to think now.

You know sometimes,
You just feel like having some chocolate,
To perk yourself up?

Today is one of those times.
