I want to take back whatever I said about the GSS.
The GSS sucks man.
Big time.
Whoever came up with the idea of the GSS,
And the general concept of 'sale' should be shot.
Well,
It may be considered the 'Event of the Year',
For "bargain hunters" (read: cheapskates),
But it's sure a living hell for retail staff.
Thank God I'm not involved in any nonsense,
Like staying open till midnight.
Anyway our store is not participating in the GSS,
So there's really no point.
"No sale? No sale? No sale???"
I'm just so tempted to slap the next person,
Who asks me this.
If we're having a sale,
There'll be posters pasted all over right??
Back to the 'nightmare'.
You get to rub shoulders with all the rude,
Uncivilized bargain hunters,
Who will stop at nothing to grab the shirt off your hands.
Where's the fun in that?
I did do some walking around myself after work,
But to be very honest,
There isn't really much to buy.
Unless you are going for out-of-style items,
From many seasons ago.
I was nearly driven up the wall,
During the 25th, 26th and 27th.
Shops were packed,
Food court packed,
Toilets packed,
Everywhere also packed.
I've finally realized that I've an intense dislike of crowds,
And perhaps, a slight phobia as well.
Anyway,
Here's a little advice for all:
It's time to throw all your manners and impeccable upbringing,
Out of the door this month.
Cos you'll get yourself shoved,
Your queue jumped,
And your ass kicked,
If you try to be a nice guy.
This may seem contrary to what I've typed earlier,
But I did manage to buy a little something something,
For myself recently.
And here goes,
The spoils of war:
From left:
Rosso Amante necklace,
G-Star phone bag,
Thomas & Friends VCD.
And no,
The VCD isn't for my niece or nephew,
It's for myself.
No joke.
I love Thomas & Friends!!!
In fact,
I so enjoyed myself watching it,
I'm going to buy a few more discs,
And maybe some toys as well tomorrow!
And here's a bonus picture of me,
Posing with my "art gallery" in the shop:
Bye.
