"Old bikes are like domesticated horses."

Something really stupid happened last Saturday.
Of all the dumb things to happen to a biker,
This has to happen to me.

Sigh.
I feel kinda sad just thinking about it.

I was on my way to work,
And about to get on my bike,
When the side stand slipped on the sandy area,
Just outside my house.

I was in the action of getting onto the bike,
With one leg in midair,
When the goddamn bike fell on me.

I was so shocked and embarrassed,
That the first thought which came to mind,
Was to pick up the bike as quickly as possible.
And I was so kancheong,
That I forgot to bend my knees instead of my back.

Well,
It took me 4 days for my back to recover.

And the clutch lever snapped under the impact,
So I had to call the bike shop to tow my bike away.

So damn suay loh.

And all the while,
I couldn't help but think if the incident,
Could be related to Dr Philip Tan.
Maybe he cursed me or something.

I had to wait till yesterday,
My day off, to pick up my bike.
Since I was already at the workshop,
I got them to do a servicing for the bike as well.

The bill came up to $166.
Reasonable,
But it would've been a lot cheaper,
If I didn't have to pay for dumb things,
Like the towing fee and a new clutch lever.

I also ordered brand-new suspensions,
Which I'll probably pick up next week.

Yay.
It's really fun customizing your bike.

Let's move on to something else.
Something which happened today.

I usually believe in not mixing work with pleasure,
i.e. Customers are customers,
And nothing more.

But I found myself,
Going the extra mile for a customer today.
I've actually served her before,
And I was pleasantly surprised to see her again.

She's not exactly the head-turner type,
But there's just something about her,
I found attractive.

Ha.
What a sleazebag I am.
I even checked the credit card slip for her name, lol.

Oh, before I forget,
Here's a picture of Prince.
